Stephanie Poe
Stephanie Poe, a 20 year veteran of all things painterly, is classically trained in authentic, decorative, and faux finishes. She has found her home in Charleston, South Carolina, a city adorned with time-honored finishes in homes that date back to the 1800’s, giving her an unlimited amount of creative ways to use her knowledge and expertise.
Beyond being self-taught, Stephanie has studied under some of the masters in her field: Mike McNeil, Jean Sable, and Pierre Finkelstein, three of the most notable modern decorative artists. She has traveled around the world to study and master her own skills in trompe l’oeil, meaning “trick of the eye”, and the authentic and historical methods used in Italian plastering, wood graining, and marbling. Her elevated skills set her apart from other decorative artists in her field, qualifying her to not only help restore America’s treasures to historical exactness, but also translate these artistic talents to achieve modern finishes and collaborate to solve decorative dilemmas with designers, builders, and architects.
Bailey Grace Poe
Bailey Grace, Stephanie’s daughter started as one of the youngest decorative artists, studying her mother’s hand, while sitting cross-legged under her scaffolding on her day’s off in elementary school. Thanks to her mother’s passions and teachings being instilled in her early on, Bailey Grace took interest in following in the family trade.
Bailey Grace studied Arts Management and Studio Art while at the College of Charleston. Upon graduating, she officially became Stephanie’s right-hand woman, fulfilling her lifelong dream of working together. As the ultimate dynamic duo, Bailey Grace brings the logistical mind and love for color where Stephanie brings the artistic genius and her love of both classic old world and modern styles.
